I was born and raised in Middlebury, Vermont where I attended and finished high school. I had an interest in the Culinary Arts but was not able to attend a culinary school. I worked in the restaurant industry for several years. After several years my flame for the Culinary Arts was dwindling. I decided to spend a few years in vocational school getting certified for a landscaping company. When I had enough experience, I started my own landscaping company and continued in the landscaping industry for many years.
In my late 20s I had an awaking encounter with Jesus Christ, which helped me make life changes to work with my heart and mind instead of with my hands. Currently I am an assistant administrator with an agency that provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities. I was personally called into the Lord's ministry at 30 while I attended my freshman year of Bible college. I joined a lengthy fast called in commemoration of the Lord Jesus Christ's 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness. After my fast, which lasted 40 days and 40 nights, the Lord honored me by placing me in local prison ministry. My experiences in the first year of prison ministry allowed me to understand the potential for demons to destroy the lives of human beings. This provided me with enough inspiration to wage spiritual war through faith in Christ. I have set my will and whole being to destroy Satan's kingdom and his infrastructure of evil. I additionally made a decision to edify and educate believers and non-believers by writing a book which is entitled Faith to Defend The Kingdom. Faith to Defend The Kingdom is being written as a Biblical manual of spiritual defense and warfare. I also have been fortunate enough to be a guest speaker at a few northern churches discipling believers in Christ on the pirnciples and dynamics of spiritual warfare.
In October of 2007 I joined the Do What Jesus Did Team of Scottsdale, Arizona to sit at the feet and acquire the depth of knowledge about demonization, dissociation, curse breaking, inner healing, exorcism and deliverance from the world's foremost exorcist, Pastor Bob Larson. I am currently a deliverance minister for Pastor Larson in the Do What Jesus Did ministry, where we break the yoke of all types of curses that hold people in bondage, offer inner healing to restore emotional soul wounds and provide spiritual freedom for those who suffer in spiritual captivity. I attend the Spiritual Freedom Church of Scottsdale, Arizona on Saturday night where I continue to sharpen my skills in spiritual warfare through the teaching of Pastor Larson's University of Spiritual Warfare.
JJ Singleton
My name is JJ Singleton, from Glendale, Arizona. I am a fifty five year old business owner (Locksmith and Steering Column Repair). I have been with DWJD since 2006. I accepted Christ in 1958 and have been active in church since. I started teaching Sunday School at the base chapel while in the Marines and worked in lay ministry starting in 1981 as a teacher, Deacon, Youth, Music, two years as a Missionary Pastor, and then as associate pastor. I had more recently been involved with Prayer Groups, Home Groups, and Altar Ministry.
I always had a passion for ministry to the suffering, hurt, abused, misfits, addicted, and disabled. As many of you, I had my personal dreams of one day being able to make a giant impact in helping such brothers and sisters in Christ. I anointed with oil, laid on hands, and prayed the prayer of faith thousands of times, with great expectations. I sought God for greater anointing and results. I endeavored to heal the sick and set the addicted free. But in reality, as I worked in Altar Ministry, I saw the same people come forward year after year for the same things, often becoming worse. I became frustrated with my experience, myself and with God. God had been speaking to me for many years about setting the captives free, but so far it was just all talk and no show for me. I sincerely asked God to "Give me something that works!!!!" Two weeks later a friend took me to Bob Larson's DWJD. As you can guess, I only had one question: "Does it really work?"
After six months of study, classes and assisting others in ministry, I gained enough knowledge to be able to lead in a session of ministry. I was capable of doing curse breaking, inner healing, and exorcism, although I will be honest that it took another few months before it all became natural and fluid for me. And my dreams came true. IT WORKS!
For me, the greatest miracle I have ever participated in is inner healing. Individuals sit before me for three hour sessions where I hear unbelievable stories of abuse and pain. These people often suffer so much torment from past memories of abuse that they can not function in life. I take them deep into that memory to the worst pain, and we bring Jesus there to minister to them. He takes the pain away and gives peace. They unload their heavy burden. Smiles replace pain and tears before the session is over.
I personally feel that qualitatively and quantitatively, I have done more ministry in the last year than all the twenty five years before, combined. A couple of years ago God spoke to me clearly and said, "Nothing is accomplished without prayer. But, prayer in and of itself accomplishes nothing. Prayer in prepatory to divine and directed action, when done in love, with the unction of the Holy Spirit, accomplishes the impossible." There is a combination of prayer, preparation, and hard work, which changes the world, one life at a time. I found that combination here at DWJD. I will spend the rest of my life, changing lives, one at a time, for the glory of Jesus Christ. I cannot describe the satisfaction that I receive from working in this ministry. I make a difference! You can too! Come join us! I'll look forward to meeting and spending time with you! JJ
Deborah MonBarren
I was born in northern Arizona near the beautiful Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo reservation since my parents were missionaries to the American Indians. Growing up, I as immersed in a lifestyle of showing Jesus to others and developed a passion for The Great Commission and have known Jesus Christ as my savior since I can remember.
My desire for peace of mind led me to the career of a security consultant but I'm now able to fulfill this passion in the most meaningful way possible being part of a DWJD team. Physical security is important, but real security and peace comes from Jesus Christ. Being instrumental in lives being set free to pursue the destiny God designed for them is one of the most awesome privileges of my life.
Participating in the DWJD ministry, encouraging others and having God's people encourage me is a highlight I eagerly anticipate each week.
